Project Overview

ACME Technical Services completed remote fusion splicing and testing of Optical Ground Wire (OPGW) along the 1,800 km Watay Transmission Line in Ontario. The project overcame challenging terrain with the use of helicopters, Sherp vehicles, and splice trucks to access remote spool points. Fibre splicing and testing across an extensive transmission network, enabling reliable utility communications, grid monitoring, and operational control systems.
